Description

Coal Transportation is a critical operational stage that ensures the safe, timely, and efficient movement of coal from the mine site to stockyards, Coal Handling Plants (CHP), or railway sidings while maintaining quantity accuracy and preventing quality deterioration.

1. Hauling to Stockyard / CHP / Railway Siding

Transportation of coal through dumpers or tippers using well-maintained haul roads. Operations include grade-wise stacking at stockyards, feeding to CHP for further processing, or direct movement to railway sidings for rake loading and dispatch.

2. Dispatch Monitoring

Strict monitoring of dispatched quantities through electronic weighbridges, GPS vehicle tracking, and daily reconciliation reports to ensure contractual compliance, transparency, and accurate documentation.

3. Transit Loss Prevention

Implementation of preventive measures such as proper truck covering, controlled loading, spillage prevention, route supervision, and quantity reconciliation to minimize losses and safeguard revenue during transportation.
