Description

Coal Handling & Loading is a crucial stage in opencast mining operations that ensures extracted coal is properly cleaned, segregated, and prepared for safe dispatch while maintaining strict quality standards.

1. Extraction from Seam

Systematic recovery of coal from the exposed seam using excavators or loaders to ensure maximum recovery with minimal loss and dilution.

2. Removal of Shale / Stone

Careful separation of shale bands, stone layers, and unwanted material through manual and mechanical methods to maintain coal purity.

3. Grade-wise Segregation

Segregation of coal based on grade parameters such as calorific value, ash content, and geological variation to ensure correct classification and compliance with dispatch specifications.

4. Loading into Trucks

Safe and efficient loading of segregated coal into trucks or tippers using excavators or front-end loaders, ensuring accurate quantity control and proper dispatch management.
